According to the newspaper "El Confidencial," a joint operation between Interpol, the FBI, and the Spanish Civil Guard thwarted an attack on Real Madrid fans at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

The operation led to the arrest of nine men in Girona, Cádiz, and Almería, belonging to the "Fundación I'lam" (a propaganda center linked to the Islamic State).
