Russia has formed a "mechanized infantry battalion" with the crew of the aircraft carrier Kuznetsov. The problematic vessel, the only aircraft carrier in the Russian navy, has been docked for many years and appears to be on the verge of being decommissioned, with its crew of around 1,500 military personnel being converted into an infantry unit. According to OSINT sources, this new unit is currently fighting on the front lines in Pokrovsk, the most active and challenging area in the ongoing war.
