European Union 🇪🇺: Air travel in the EU will become more expensive.
The Lufthansa Group announced that since June 26, those who purchase a flight scheduled for 2025 will pay a surcharge of up to 72 euros per ticket. It is called an "environmental surcharge" and is expected to be applied soon by other airlines.

The reason, as the name indicates, is the additional costs that European carriers expect to incur following the new EU rules to combat pollution in the sector.
