Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yvan Gil announced this Friday (02) that Vladimir Putin has invited Nicolás Maduro to the BRICS summit to be held in October in the Russian city of Kazan.

"I am sure that your personal participation will enrich the upcoming discussion, help identify promising areas of multilateral cooperation for the benefit of the global majority, and undoubtedly contribute to the progressive development of Russian-Venezuelan relations," says a letter from Putin to Maduro.
