There are two areas where the debate on gender and transsexuality can have catastrophic results: I refer to sports and the military. In the military, women are generally superior to men in areas such as organization and control, and are perfectly equal in areas like analysis and strategy. However, in the field, specifically in combat missions, there is no possible comparison. If we take two units of the same army, both with the same weapons and equipment, one 100% composed of men and the other composed of 50% men and 50% women, the mixed unit will have a much lower operational capacity due precisely to the physical limitations of women.

In sports, the debate remains heated, with some modalities banning transgender athletes from competing against other women, as is the case with swimming, even when the athlete has low levels of testosterone.

Today, in a boxing competition at the Olympics, we saw a situation that could have resulted in serious physical harm to the Italian athlete who, out of common sense, withdrew from fighting the Algerian transgender athlete after taking two punches that she said were "the hardest punches I've ever taken in my life." Had the Italian athlete insisted on continuing the fight, she could have been seriously injured.

A transgender athlete, even now presenting low levels of testosterone, had her body bombarded with male hormones from conception, resulting in a much more robust bone and muscle structure.

Therefore, in my opinion, and I want to make this very clear, "in my opinion," both in the military field (specifically for combat roles) and in sports, the debate on gender equality and transsexuality can have very unpleasant results, especially for athletes born with the XX chromosome (female sex) who have never been exposed to large amounts of male hormones like athletes born with the XY chromosome (male sex).
